Exploring Physics in one week with ATHENS Programme

On November 12-18 another successful ATHENS course on remote experimentation took place at IST, organised by IPFN. After two days of a deep social acquaintance to Lisbon during the weekend, the students enrolled in the e-lab course were they could deepen their knowledge on some physics phenomena by doing remote experiments on e-lab including plasma physics and learn some data analysis techniques. "e-lab - Remotely controlled physics laboratories" is one of the few ATHENS course offered by IST in all semesters since 2007, and keeps being as an attraction for foreign students to visit IST and Portugal.

The ATHENS Programme is aimed at carrying out intensive specialisation courses, given at each member institution during one or two defined periods ("Sessions") of the academic year (November and March), enabling students to attend one of the courses offered by the network universities during 7 days.
