All the efforts aligned for the development of the ITER collective Thomson Scattering

A 3-day successful meeting was held at PPFE on 24-26 of October with members of the ITER CTS Consortium composed by IPFN, as part of Instituto Superior Técnico, and Danmarks Tekniske Universitet (DTU), under the framework of the F4E Contract to develop a Collective Thomson Scattering Diagnostic for ITER.

The scope of the meeting was to coordinate and align efforts between engineers and physicists from the two institutions; in order to progress with the R&D, Components Optimization and Prototyping of Low Field Side Collective Thomson Scattering (LFS-CTS) System.

Working side by side, the team kicked off several tasks, planning next steps to reach a new level of maturity of the LFS-CTS Design.
