Two IPFN teams concluded the Lab2Market programme at Técnico

Two IPFN teams participated in the Lab2Market programme at Técnico - Lab2Market@Técnico - to try to bring the technologies developed in the frame of R&D programmes closer to the market. The two teams involved were:
  • Plasma based method for single-step synthesis of free-standing graphene sheets (Elena Tatarova, Júlio Henriques and Bruno Gonçalves)
  • Path planning for omnidirectional vehicles (Alberto Vale, Rodrigo Ventura - ISR/IST and Bruno Gonçalves)
On the June 29 the teams had the opportunity to present their progress in the final session which counted with the participation of representatives from Everis, ES Venture and Portugal Ventures in the Evaluation Panel.
The aim of the programme was to help the researchers to have a better knowledge on the path to take their technology from the laboratory to the market. During the two months of the programme, the teams have worked with the veers team to find potential customers and partners, and to understand who are the competitors on the market. The teams had an opportunity to have a glimpse on how a startup actually works and encountered the chaos and uncertainty associated with the process of bringing a new product into the market.
